Job Summary

As an Employee Engagement Officer at ISS, you will play a vital role in fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. Your primary focus will be on promoting employee engagement and working closely with Operations Leads to optimize people performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure confidentiality, privacy, and dignity are maintained at all times in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation.
  • Manage a diverse range of ER issues effectively, mitigating any risks to the business and engaging ACAS code of practice to limit employment tribunals.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and support to managers regarding people management cases.
  • Work alongside the People and Culture team for escalation and complex people cases.
  • Ensure guidance is in line with the organization's policies, procedures, and employment law, and identify risks prior to decisions being taken to minimize risk, reputational damage, and financial exposure.
  • Support managers in reviewing correspondence and reports relevant to employee relations issues and drafting documentation where expertise dictates.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Experience in managing people.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Able to make presentations, give advice, and communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge of standard ACAS policies, grievance, and disciplinary resolution.
  • Basic TUPE knowledge and/or experience.
  • Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
