Job Summary

The Warehouse Operative - Assembler will be responsible for assembling customer orders from order profiles, utilizing the radio data terminal (RDT) to access customer information and product details. The successful candidate will ensure accurate and efficient order fulfillment, adhering to warehouse procedures and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble customer orders from order profiles, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Utilize the radio data terminal (RDT) to access customer information and product details
  • Ensure correct product quantities and quality, adhering to warehouse procedures
  • Stretch wrap completed orders to secure them and present them to the marshalling area
  • Remove incoming loads from vehicles, checking for best before dates, product description, quantity, and quality
  • Load picked and marshalled pallets onto outward bound vehicles, utilizing the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Meet required Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Operate equipment safely and in line with training
  • Change FLT battery when flat and clean the FLT daily
  • Adhere to clean as you go policy and company recycling and waste management program
  • Ensure Personal Protective Equipment is used, worn, and maintained at all times
  • Report breaches in Health, Safety, and Welfare to the site management team
  • Undertake further Warehouse Operative duties as requested by supervisor/manager

Requirements

  • Experience in the safe operation of electric powered pallet trucks
  • Experience in the safe operation of electric ride-on powered pallet trucks
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Adaptable approach to training
  • Conscientious and reliable
  • Experience in using a hand pallet truck
  • Use of radio data terminal (RDT)
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Reasonable level of verbal and numerical reasoning
  • Good working attitude
  • Previous experience in a similar environment desirable but not essential
