Recycling Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Recycler Technician to join our team at Yorkshire Water. As a key member of our Customer Field Services department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our wastewater network.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate and maintain recycler vehicles to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
- Conduct sewer inspections, cleaning, and defect resolution to prevent network failures and minimize environmental impact
- Work closely with other teams and contractors to resolve operational issues and ensure customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures
- Provide technical support and first-line response to customer contacts to resolve issues efficiently
- Full valid EU driving licence (with no more than six points) and a Heavy Goods Vehicle category C licence plus DCPC
- Experience of driving vehicles with a liquid load
- Recycler vehicle operation experience
- Strong Health & Safety background
- Ability to find faults and diagnose the root cause of an issue
- Competent in the use of IT systems
- Previous experience in a customer service role with face-to-face communication with customers
- Knowledge and experience on working with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to be proactive and take ownership of issues, think through problems and work with others to solve them
- Good interpersonal skills to liaise with operations, customers, and stakeholders
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships
- A basic understanding of the sewer network
- Understanding of sewerage system and network performance issues
