SEN Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher/Form Tutor to join our team at Education Matters Group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for educating and nurturing a small group of low ability students in an engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support students with SEN needs, providing individualized attention and care.
  2. Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all students, promoting inclusive learning.
  3. Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive and respectful classroom environment.
  4. Assess and record student progress, ensuring learning objectives are met and students make progress.
  5. Communicate with parents and colleagues regarding student development and progress, fostering a collaborative approach.
  6. Develop a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  7. Utilize early childhood education techniques to engage young learners and promote their social, emotional, and academic development.
Requirements:
  1. Qualified teacher with a passion for SEN education.
  2. Excellent communication skills to interact with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
  3. Ability to educate and inspire students of all abilities, promoting a growth mindset and a love of learning.
