Year 2 Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 2 Teacher to join our team at a reputable primary school in Loughton, Essex. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students, promoting academic excellence and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the needs of Year 2 students, promoting their academic and personal development.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, maintaining accurate records of their academic performance.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters a love of learning and promotes social skills.
  • Collaborate with school management, teaching staff, and parents to provide quality academic support and guidance.
  • Participate in school-related activities, such as performances, events, and parent-teacher meetings, to promote a sense of community and engagement.
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all children, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Year 2 teaching experience and a recognized qualification in teaching, preferably a Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in teaching Year 2 in a mainstream primary or secondary school, with a strong track record of delivering excellent teaching and learning experiences.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners, and strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students.
  • Sound knowledge of the national curriculum and its application in class, with the ability to adapt teaching styles to facilitate different learning styles.
  • A passion for teaching and making a difference in students' lives, with a commitment to promoting academic excellence and personal growth.
