Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising Clients on Employment Law Matters: Provide expert advice to clients on potential Employment Tribunal claims, ensuring they are fully informed and supported throughout the process.
  • Managing a Caseload of Employment Tribunal Claims: Handle a caseload of Employment Tribunal claims, including drafting pleadings, witness statements, negotiating settlements, and instructing counsel or advocates as necessary.
  • Ensuring Compliance with Service Level Agreements: Ensure compliance with insurer service level agreements, ensuring timely and efficient handling of claims.
  • Supporting the Team with Non-Contentious Work: Support the team with non-contentious work, including the preparation of contractual documentation, handbooks, and reactive and proactive employment advice to commercial clients.
  • Participating in Marketing Initiatives: Participate in marketing initiatives, including writing updates on employment law and providing training sessions to clients.
  • Using Case Management Systems: Utilize the firm's case management system to progress files, handle billing and invoicing, and ensure efficient case management.

Essential Skills and Competencies:

  • Qualifications: Fully qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or FCILEx.
  • Passion for Employment Law: A passion for employment law and providing practical, commercial solutions.
  • Excellent Communication and Time Management Skills: Excellent attention to detail, communication, and time management skills.
  • Leadership and Organizational Skills: Ability to take full responsibility for cases and strategies, with team support.
  • Strong Organizational and Prioritization Skills: Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and meet strict deadlines.
