Job Description

**Job Title:** Nursery Team Leader

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nursery Team Leader to join our team at MIChild Group. As a key member of our nursery team, you will be responsible for leading and implementing our nursery curriculum, ensuring high standards of quality in our nursery environment, and supporting the development of good practice in special needs and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of our nursery curriculum and ensure that it is delivered to the highest standards.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and effective children's records, ensuring that they are up-to-date and compliant with relevant legislation.
  • Support the development of good practice in special needs and inclusion, working closely with our Childcare and Education team to ensure that all children receive the best possible care and education.
  • Ensure that children are kept safe and that staff understand and follow Safeguarding Procedures at all times.
  • Work with our Childcare and Education team to continuously improve the quality of childcare and education, ensuring that our nursery remains a leading provider in the field.
  • Ensure that the nutritional needs of children are met and that Food Safety Regulations are complied with at all times.
  • Comply with all relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, and company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Remain abreast of current developments in childcare and education policy and practice, ensuring that our nursery remains at the forefront of best practice.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualified in childcare or a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and experience of working with children and families.
  • Extensive knowledge of Safeguarding and a proven track record of ensuring the safety and well-being of children.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team, ensuring that they are motivated and supported to deliver high-quality care and education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
