About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join NELFT North East London Foundation Trust as a Senior Administrator. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality administrative support to our Specialist Palliative Care team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a comprehensive administrative service, including diary management, correspondence, and document preparation.
  • Manage the team's email and post, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
  • Develop and maintain filing systems, both electronic and paper-based, to ensure easy access to relevant information.
  • Act as a central point of contact for external and internal callers, providing excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Coordinate administrative arrangements for reporting requirements, including documentation, evidence, and information updates.
  • Oversee the facilitation and administration of meetings and panels, including minute-taking, agenda production, and paper coordination.
  • Maintain up-to-date confidential personal staff files.
  • Propose and implement changes to working practices to reflect the needs of the service.
  • Act as delegated authority for procurement processes, using electronic order and approval systems.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for information from other Trust sources, as agreed by the Manager.
  • Coordinate absence and study leave.
  • Ability to take dictation and transcribe from audio dictation, including medical reports.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Knowledge of NELFT's policies and procedures.
