About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Consultant Community Paediatrician to join our team at Powys Teaching Health Board. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our integrated neurodevelopmental assessment pathway
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to children with complex neurodisability
  • Participate in the management of child protection cases and provide expertise in child abuse and neglect
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our community partners and stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of our service and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council
  • MRCPCH or equivalent
  • Entry on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining a UK CCT for General and Community Paediatrics
  • Experience in Community Paediatrics, including expertise in complex neurodisability
  • Knowledge of child protection and experience in managing child abuse and neglect
  • Level 3 or higher formal training in Child Protection
  • Experience of working with multidisciplinary and multiagency teams
