Job Title: Employment Solicitor

Job Description:

Our client, a leading law firm, is seeking a mid-level employment lawyer to support the existing workload of a busy team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Employment Tribunal litigation, including drafting and responding to claims, witness statements, and advocacy. The role will involve advising clients on all aspects of employment law, including day-to-day employment advice, Employment Tribunal claims, and other contentious matters.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple files and client relationships, often as the lead client contact. They will work independently on matters and clients with appropriate supervision, depending on seniority and experience. There will also be an opportunity to provide support and guidance to more junior members of the Employment Law team and HR consultants and advisers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employment Tribunal litigation, including drafting and responding to claims, witness statements, and advocacy
  • Day-to-day employment and HR advice by telephone and in writing to managers, HR, and senior executives/Board level
  • Drafting contracts, policies, and other employment-related documentation
  • Advising on disciplinary and grievance matters, and conducting investigations
  • Conducting negotiations and drafting settlement agreements
  • Advising individuals/senior executives
