Job Title: Software Development Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Manager to join our Engineering Team at SWARCO Group. As a Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing central cloud system software development for SWARCO ITS in the UK, as well as liaising with SWARCO central software development for core architecture activities in Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage central cloud system software development for SWARCO ITS in the UK.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality procedures for all staff and sub-contractors.
  • Liaise with SWARCO central software development for core architecture activities in Germany.
  • Interpret customer requirements specifications and generate functional requirements documentation for software development.
  • Provide technical lead to internal and external development resources for local software development on central software.
  • Maintain software development to company quality standards while helping to attain the highest security standards for our cloud systems.
  • Identify improvements to the development process to maintain leading-edge software development tools and techniques for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Experience in leading software development.
  • Ability to interpret customer requirements and generate specifications for software developers.
  • Proficiency in C#.NET 5+ programming language.
  • Knowledge in cloud architecture and communications networks.
  • Appreciation of Docker and Kubernetes containerization and deployment.
  • Understanding of Typescript &.NET backend services.

Education:

  • 2:1 or better Degree in BSc Computer Science or equivalent.
