RSK Group is seeking an ambitious Environmental Scientist to join our team in the UK.

We offer a wide range of environmental protection and risk reduction services to various industries and clients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical tasks under supervision, including sample processing, laboratory liaison, and logging.
  • Provide technical and project administrative support to senior colleagues, including fieldwork, report writing, and subcontractor communications.
  • Complete allocated tasks on time and to budget, as requested by senior colleagues.
  • Conduct project fieldwork, including emergency response mitigation works, spill and ground investigation techniques, and sample collection and logging.
  • Compile technical reports, prepare letters, and maintain accurate site notes.
  • Adhere to RSK Group management systems, including site-specific and point-of-work health and safety risk assessments and method statements.

Additional information:

  • We operate a 24/7 response service for our clients, requiring occasional work outside normal operating hours.
  • Travel may be required to cover business needs throughout England, Scotland, and Wales.
  • Incident response training is provided, and other training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Science-based degree (essential)
  • Full, clean driving license (essential)
  • Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Office (essential)
  • Basic project management experience (desirable)
  • CSCS (desirable)
  • First aid (desirable)
  • Working towards membership of a professional body (desirable)
  • Some relevant previous experience an advantage (desirable)

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary £25,000
