Energy Storage Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Battery Energy Storage Systems Engineer to join our team at oilandgas. As a Principal / Technical Director Level Engineer, you will be responsible for leading complex projects and providing technical expertise in the design and engineering of battery energy storage systems.
Key Responsibilities- Project Leadership: Lead and inspire teams delivering high-impact projects, fostering excellence in all aspects of BESS design and engineering.
- Technical Expertise: Provide advanced technical input to address BESS challenges and opportunities, developing and implementing solutions from conceptual stage through to detailed engineering.
- Feasibility and Optimisation: Spearhead feasibility studies and capital estimates, undertaking techno-economic modelling and optimisation / sizing studies for microgrids and hybrid systems.
- Vendor Equipment Management: Lead key equipment vendor selection processes, ensuring that selected vendors meet project requirements and standards.
- Site Engagement: Conduct condition site inspections of energy storage assets during and at the completion of projects.
- Project Management: Oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and key point of contact for technical expertise and project delivery.
- Business Development: Contribute to business development activities, including proposal preparation, client presentations and the expansion of oilandgas's portfolio in the energy sector.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, energy systems or a related field.
- Extensive experience in BESS engineering at a Principal or Technical Director level.
- Deep knowledge of battery technologies, energy management systems and power electronics.
- Proven track record of leading complex projects, with a strong focus on technical excellence, client satisfaction and commercial success.
