Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a General Teaching Assistant, providing pastoral and educational support to a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a part-time position, working 17.5 hours per week, with a fixed-term contract until August 2025.

About the Role:

As a General Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver provision for the child with SEN. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing pastoral support to the child with SEN, including emotional and social support
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson planning and delivery
  • Supporting the child with SEN in their daily activities and routines
  • Working with the SENCo to develop and implement individualized education plans

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with children with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
