Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join our team at Champion Plumbing & Heating Services LTD. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Install, repair, and maintain heating systems in residential and commercial properties.
  2. Assemble and install heating equipment such as boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating systems.
  3. Carry out plumbing work related to heating systems.
  4. Perform heavy lifting when required for equipment or materials.
  5. Weld components where necessary.
  6. Utilize power tools for cutting, drilling, and shaping materials.
  7. Demonstrate mechanical knowledge in diagnosing and fixing heating system issues.
  8. Use hand tools effectively for various tasks.
  9. Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations.
  10. Possess commercial driving skills for transporting equipment to different locations.

Required Skills

  1. Proficiency in assembling components accurately.
  2. Ability to plumb heating systems effectively.
  3. Capability for heavy lifting as needed.
  4. Competence in using power tools safely and efficiently.
  5. Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairs.
  6. Proficient with hand tools for detailed work.
  7. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations.
  8. Commercial driving experience is beneficial.

Desirable Qualifications

Ideally Gas Safe qualified but not essential.

Working Conditions

Jobs vary and locations cover the entire Cambridgeshire Area, with the main office located in Stretham, Ely. Working week is Monday to Friday and approx 42.5 hrs. Company van and fuel card available to be used in work hours only.

Salary and Benefits

Salary to be discussed, dependent on experience. Pay: From £18.61 per hour. Expected hours: 42.5 per week.
