Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Student Learning: Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their academic goals.
  • Collaborate with Teachers: Work closely with class teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide feedback on student progress.
  • Prepare Learning Materials: Assist in the preparation and adaptation of learning materials to meet the needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Foster a Positive Classroom Environment: Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Monitor Student Progress: Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents on student achievement.
  • Provide Personal Support: Provide personal care and support to students as needed, including assistance with daily living tasks.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of students.
