About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team at the Together Trust. As a key member of our residential childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to vulnerable children and young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement person-centered plans that promote the physical, emotional, and social growth of the children and young people in our care.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members, ensuring that they are equipped to deliver high-quality care and support.
  • Contribute to the assessment and appraisal of team members, providing constructive feedback and coaching to enhance their performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with social workers, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure that the needs of the children and young people are met.
  • Participate in shift leading and supervising team members in the absence of the Registered Manager or Assistant Manager.
Requirements
  • Completed QCF Level 3/4 in Children, Young People, and Families Practitioner qualification or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in keyworking with vulnerable children and young people, including primary responsibility in complex cases.
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures and protocols.
  • Good standard of written English and IT skills, with the ability to write reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Valid driving license and ability to transport children and young people to activities and schools.
