English Teacher Training Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious and dedicated individual to join our team as an English Teacher Trainee. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience and develop your skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will be working closely with our experienced teaching staff to support KS3-5 lessons, with a focus on attainment and the quality of learning. This role is ideal for an English graduate looking to gain experience before enrolling onto a teacher training program.

The ideal candidate will have a strong degree in English-related subjects, such as English Studies, English Languages, or English Literature. They will also have good A Levels and GCSEs across the board, and be confident in their ability and knowledge of both the GCSE and A Level curriculum.

We offer a competitive salary of £23,000 and a range of benefits, including the opportunity to enroll onto a Salaried Schools Direct program. Our school is located in the Borough of Newham and has excellent transport links.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting KS3-5 lessons in the English Department
  • Working closely with teaching staff to raise attainment and improve the quality of learning
  • Carrying out GCSE and A Level interventions
  • Enrolling onto the Aspiring English Teacher Program (Schools Direct)

Requirements:

  • Desirable degree in English-related subjects
  • Good A Levels and GCSEs across the board
  • Confidence in ability and knowledge of GCSE and A Level curriculum
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
