About the Role:
GXO Logistics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join our team at our B&Q site in Blyth. As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team of warehouse operatives, focusing on delivering operational excellence at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, supervise, and report on the work activities of warehouse operatives, providing effective communication, leadership, succession planning, motivation, training, and development.
- Support the FLMs in achieving warehouse/transport operational KPIs and service levels, while driving improvement initiatives across the site.
- Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities.
Requirements:
- Experience of working within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Experience managing conflicting priorities, with the ability to plan and organize a warehouse operation.
- Strong IT skills, including warehouse systems and Microsoft Office.
What We Offer:
You will be paid a salary of up to £28,000 per annum, plus an additional night shift premium of 20%. You will also receive 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. You will have access to a workplace pension and our GXO University, which provides you the opportunity to learn new skills and gain qualifications at a pace that you're comfortable with.
