An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Systems Architect within Thales OME. This role involves leading systems design initiatives throughout the engineering project lifecycle.
As a Senior Systems Architect, your responsibilities will encompass:
- Articulating the technical solution, which includes gathering and breaking down requirements, as well as developing architecture from Operational Concepts to Solution Architecture.
- Managing and mitigating the interfaces across the system functional chains.
- Defining the connections between the overall solution and its components.
- Conducting preliminary Integration, Validation, Verification, and Qualification (IVVQ) activities to assist the IVVQ Manager and support IVVQ throughout the project lifecycle.
- Performing design trade-offs to achieve an optimal design, ensuring that critical design decisions are documented and communicated to all project stakeholders to meet project timelines.
- Leading risk reduction activities to investigate solution designs and functionalities, identifying potential risk areas during IVVQ and final assessments.
- Collaborating across various disciplines to ensure a comprehensive solution design.
- Ensuring coherence between low-level design and system design, aligning technical dependencies across different disciplines and business sectors.
- Grasping technical assumptions and constraints.
- Identifying technical risks and proposing mitigations.
The Senior Architect will serve as the primary systems engineering liaison to the Project Design Authority (PDA), ensuring overall system compliance with both customer and product line requirements.

- A proactive individual capable of managing their workload effectively while contributing to broader project objectives.
- Ability to utilize various co-engineering techniques to gather diverse perspectives and sources for enhanced problem-solving.
- Proven track record of leading a team to pursue viable solutions while adhering to deadlines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
- Competence in providing real-time guidance to fellow systems engineers to foster their technical growth.
- Ability to collaborate and engage with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure alignment with solution design goals.
- Skill in simplifying and dissecting complex challenges, prioritizing design decisions and collaborative efforts.
This position will report to the Discipline Manager for Systems Engineering.
