About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Practitioner to join our team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a General Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of patients, dealing with a wide range of presenting health care needs in a primary care setting.
  • Work with clinical colleagues to ensure the highest standards of care are provided for all registered and temporary patients.
  • Contribute to planning and decision-making as part of the wider practice team.
  • Support the development and delivery of Integrated Care Teams.
  • Comply with all relevant clinical governance and practice policies and protocols.
Person Specification

We are looking for a General Practitioner who:

  • Is fully qualified with GMC registration.
  • Has evidence of annual appraisal and revalidation.
  • Has General practice (Vocational Training Scheme) training.
  • Is on/eligible to be on a medical performers list.
  • Has an Enhanced CRB check.
  • Has a UK driving licence.
  • Has a Current CPR certificate.
  • Has a UK work permit (if required).
Desirable Qualifications and Experience

We would also like to hear from candidates who:

  • Have evidence of continued professional development.
  • Have other Post Graduate Diplomas.
  • Have successfully completed General Practice Specialist Training.
  • Have an appropriate range of previous experience in hospital posts.
  • Have clinical and Information Governance experience.
  • Have self-audit and reflection experience.
  • Are organised and efficient in record keeping and completion of paperwork.
  • Have time management skills, being able to prioritise work and work under pressure.
  • Have computer literacy.
