Specialist Consultant Radiologist in Breast Imaging

The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is on the lookout for a dedicated full-time Consultant Radiologist specializing in Breast Imaging. The selected professional will be an integral part of the Manchester Breast Service, contributing to essential services across various facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enhance Breast Care Services through expert imaging
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Breast Imaging techniques, including tomosynthesis, ultrasound, and image-guided interventions
  • Engage in departmental audits and contribute to research initiatives
Essential Qualifications:
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (F.R.C.R.) or equivalent
  • Completion of subspecialty training in Breast Imaging
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional relevant postgraduate qualifications
  • Experience in developing clinical protocols
Professional Experience:
  • Significant experience in the field of Breast Radiology
  • Interest in educational roles at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Understanding of clinical governance and management practices
