About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Care Leaver Mentor Leader to join our team at One Manchester. As a Care Leaver Mentor Leader, you will play a vital role in supporting our care leavers to achieve their goals and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one mentoring and guidance to care leavers to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Work closely with the designated Stay Close Coordinator to ensure that care leavers are connected with the Employment & Skills support, advice, and guidance.
  • Establish a peer support network with care leavers to enable them to engage with a long-lasting and impactful network of support.
  • Champion care leavers to build their strengths and achieve good outcomes.
What We're Looking For
  • Extensive experience of working with young people and adults in a supportive and engaging role.
  • Knowledge of person-centred and task-centred approaches to case work.
  • Experience in delivering group activities that engage young people and adults.
  • Proven record of ability to effectively engage with customers who have barriers and help them to achieve meaningful outcomes.
  • Experience of managing a caseload while delivering a high-quality service.
