About the Company: Hays Construction and Property is a prominent contractor operating both in the UK and internationally, specializing in delivering projects across various sectors such as real estate, defense, education, transportation, and water management.
Project Overview: We are currently engaged in a significant transportation initiative, which includes the development of a new 10-mile dual 2-lane carriageway. We are seeking a dedicated Site Engineer to become an integral part of our project team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of site operations within your designated section, ensuring that all activities align with the project design and contractual obligations.
- Contribute to the weekly 4-week lookahead program for your assigned tasks.
- Assist in the execution of Inspection and Test Plans relevant to your work.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Adhere to Environmental policies and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in similar roles, particularly in excavation, concrete, or structural steelwork.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency with digital tools and engineering software.
- Formal training in Health & Safety and Environmental management (e.g., SMSTS, SEATS).
- Possession of a relevant CSCS Card.
- Experience in utilizing engineering surveying instruments.
