The Research Associate will be part of the esteemed team led by Prof Matthew Ian Gibson within the Department of Chemistry at The University of Manchester. This position is dedicated to the development of innovative ice-binding polymers for a range of applications. The successful applicant will engage in a collaborative research environment that emphasizes teamwork and scientific inquiry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Synthesize and analyze advanced polymers and polymer nanoparticles
- Investigate cryobiological mechanisms and perform polymer/protein bioconjugation
- Employ controlled polymerization methods, including RAFT
