About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team of professionals in primary schools across Selby. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational development of young children, helping them to build a strong foundation for future success.

Your primary responsibility will be to assist the class teacher in creating a stimulating and safe learning environment, planning and delivering engaging early years education, and providing one-on-one or small group support to children. You will also be responsible for fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom, adapting to different school settings and teams, and bringing enthusiasm and dedication to each assignment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of effective early years education
  • Support the class teacher in creating a stimulating and safe learning environment
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to children, helping them to develop their skills and confidence
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom
  • Adapt to different school settings and teams, bringing enthusiasm and dedication to each assignment
Requirements
  • A passion for working with young children and a commitment to their educational development
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in an EYFS setting is desirable but not essential
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is desired
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across various primary schools
  • A proactive approach to building your career and enhancing your teaching skills
