We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team at Get Staff. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for planning and optimizing routes for HGV vehicles, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and optimize routes for HGV vehicles to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
  2. Coordinate with approved hauliers to arrange transportation of cargo and confirm availability of equipment.
  3. Liaise with Courier/Haulage Exchange to ensure 3rd party jobs are covered and delivered.
  4. Maintain awareness of and follow transport regulations to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  5. Collaborate with the transportation team to ensure smooth operations and achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience in planning HGV routes.
  2. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  3. Excellent problem-solving skills.
  4. Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis.
  5. Proficient in using transportation management systems and software.
  6. A full UK driving license.
