Key Responsibilities:
In the role of NPD Manager, you will oversee and drive a variety of New Product Development (NPD) and Existing Product Development (EPD) initiatives from initial concept through to market launch, ensuring the creation of high-quality products for diverse clients, including retailers and food service providers.
Primary Duties Include:
- Collaborating with NPD and other relevant departments on customer specifications and presenting concepts to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Articulating new product ideas with a strong justification for their market introduction.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to assess the cost and feasibility of new offerings.
- Coordinating and managing factory trials and initial production runs.
- Conducting market research and organizing necessary taste panels as required.
- Leading and mentoring NPD Technologists in preparing customer presentations, including sample creation, cost analysis, and documentation.
- Gathering feedback from client meetings and communicating insights to site teams, ensuring appropriate actions are taken.
- Managing all critical timelines to guarantee timely delivery of projects.
- Staying informed about global, national, and local food trends to ensure the development of industry-leading products.
- Maintaining knowledge of relevant legislative requirements.
Candidate Profile:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a comparable role within a dynamic food manufacturing environment.
- A degree in food science, innovation, or a related field.
- A creative individual with a passion for food and a refined understanding of flavor profiles.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
