The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough risk assessments, reviewing work procedures, and preparing reports on accidents and safety breaches. They will also be expected to stay up-to-date with health, safety, and environment regulations, ensuring the safe installation of equipment, and overseeing external contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting safety risk assessments and identifying areas for improvement
  • Reviewing and implementing safety procedures to meet industry standards
  • Preparing and filing reports on accidents and safety breaches
  • Staying current with health, safety, and environment regulations
  • Ensuring safe equipment installation and overseeing external contractors
  • Providing in-house training on health and safety awareness
  • Tracking incident metrics and applying findings
  • Reviewing and managing pre-construction and construction phase plans and H&S files
  • Conducting site audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement

Requirements:

  • Nebosh Certificate in Construction Health & Safety
  • IOSH certificate (preferred)
  • CSCS (preferred)
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent IT skills and experience in Microsoft Office / 365
  • Good understanding of CDM regulations and site H&S
