Our goal is to create a sustainable and forward-thinking factory that meets the needs of our Flavour Solutions clients.

The Technical Operator role within the Distribution Centre (DC) team involves executing various warehouse tasks, including receiving, storing, selecting, and dispatching palletized goods, all while adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. The position requires engagement in both ambient and chilled environments, with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) provided for cooler areas, as well as managing inventory in freezer conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all general warehouse duties as instructed by management, ensuring alignment with customer expectations.
  • Operate and monitor equipment and systems in a safe and environmentally responsible manner across Pre-weigh, Processing, Packing, and Palletization areas.
  • Manage stock receipt processes, including production returns and supplier inbound shipments, utilizing SAP for booking and labeling.
  • Oversee stock put away for all materials and finished products, ensuring effective stock management.
  • Conduct stock picking for customer orders and production needs, adhering to the first in, first out (FIFO) methodology.
  • Marshal stock in both ambient and chilled DC areas, as well as in production zones.
  • Gather finished goods pallets from production lines.
  • Handle silo intake for liquid and bulk powders, ensuring proper unloading procedures.
  • Engage in mandatory working at height tasks, utilizing Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) trucks up to 14 meters.
  • Utilize forklift and ride-on pallet trucks for all stock movements.
  • Complete annual S-Cape training for VNA truck operation.
  • Verify that vehicles are suitable for loading stock, ensuring temperature-controlled vehicles are set to the correct specifications.
  • Manage allergens in both ambient and chilled storage areas.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards regarding Quality, Food Safety, Health & Safety, and Environmental regulations.

Candidate Profile:

  • Prior experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Experience in temperature-controlled environments is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools.
  • Understanding of the significance of Quality, Food Safety, Health & Safety, and Environmental standards.
  • Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including VNA trucks, forklift counterbalance, ride-on pallet trucks, and electric pump trucks.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Intermediate computer proficiency.
  • Familiarity with SAP/WCS software is advantageous.
