An exciting opportunity has emerged to become a part of the City College Norwich Apprenticeships Team, focusing on both Easton and Ipswich Rd locations.

In response to increasing industry demand, we have a full-time vacancy within our Carpentry division. We seek an individual with current industry expertise.

This role presents a fantastic chance to implement best practices and significantly influence the upcoming generation entering the carpentry field.


As a Carpentry Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering both practical and theoretical sessions to groups of apprentices. Additionally, you will engage with learners and employers to evaluate workplace competencies, necessitating a robust technical skill set along with exceptional interpersonal abilities.

We maintain high expectations for our students regarding the documentation and assessment of their work, so being organized, efficient, and proficient in IT is essential.

Ideally, candidates should possess teaching qualifications and at least a Level 3 certification in carpentry.

However, we encourage applications from individuals with relevant industry experience in carpentry, strong communication skills (both written and verbal), and a genuine passion for teaching and mentoring others.

We are committed to supporting you in obtaining teaching qualifications if you possess the necessary soft skills and technical background.
