Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Design and develop pressurized interfaces for scientific instruments and equipment, ensuring compliance with ASMR design standards and pressure directives.
  • Technical File Management: Create, update, and maintain technical files, including design specifications, test reports, and other relevant documentation.
  • Product Validation and Verification: Conduct product validation and verification activities to ensure that products meet the required specifications and quality standards.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with internal departments to lead the design and testing of new products, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure that updates are disseminated across the business.
  • Continuous Improvement: Assist with the innovation pipeline and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product design and development processes.

Requirements:

  • Education: Educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
  • Technical Skills: Experience using 3D CAD software, ideally SolidWorks or proven adaptability if not.
  • Hands-on Experience: Hands-on experience designing and testing pressurized or hydraulic systems.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to travel within the UK or abroad as needed.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Test Method Development: Experience developing test methods and procedures.
  • ASME Design Standards: Knowledge of relevant ASME design standards.
  • Project Management: Project management experience.
