Galaxy Personnel is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our esteemed client's production team. This role is essential for the efficient operation of manufacturing processes.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and execute the production of batches following established protocols.
  • Communicate with the Production Shift Supervisor to implement any necessary adjustments to production plans and report any operational delays or issues.
  • Coordinate with the Production Shift Supervisor to ensure the availability of raw materials and the accurate labeling and dispatch of final products.
  • Manage the packing of non-bulk powders and liquids in compliance with operational guidelines to meet production targets.
  • Facilitate the transfer of liquid raw materials from road tankers to storage vessels, adhering to safety and procedural standards.
  • Assist in the release and transfer of bulk finished products or waste to bulk road tankers, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the Production Shift Supervisor to meet the fork lift truck requirements of the facility.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization on-site at all times.
  • Collaborate with Production Management and Engineering to promptly address any equipment malfunctions.
  • Complete all documentation related to batch manufacturing and packing in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all labeling requirements for manufactured and packed products.
  • Uphold all quality standards relevant to the role.
  • Adhere to the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental Policy at all times.
  • Perform additional reasonable duties within the department as required.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions accurately.
  • A formal qualification in a scientific discipline (preferably chemistry) such as GCSE or HNC is preferred, though relevant experience in the chemical sector is acceptable.
  • Some familiarity with the operational needs of a manufacturing environment or a solid understanding of key operational issues.
  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations and the Health & Safety at Work Act is advantageous.
  • Capability to operate or willingness to be trained to operate a forklift truck.
