We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trustee to join our team at the Police Federation of England and Wales. As a Trustee, you will play a crucial role in advising and supporting our National Board and CEO on financial governance decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and trust documents, focusing on managing and administering the joint fund.
- Carry out instructions and directions from the National Board regarding investment and other matters concerning the National Fund.
- Ensure that the National Fund is managed in accordance with the Fund Rules and the purposes and interests of the members of the PFEW.
- Safeguard the organisation's National Fund and property assets, applying them towards the Federation's objectives.
- Attend the National Conference and receive notifications of waivers and write-offs.
- Provide an advisory role on the Finance Committee and National Reserve Fund Committee, if specified in the terms of reference.
- Deal with credit card appeals and meet with the CEO bi-monthly to discuss critical decisions and risks.
- One representative of the trustee group can attend a portion of a National Board for a specific topic, if required.
- Demonstrate extensive experience within finance in a leadership or executive level capacity.
- Previous experience of working within complex stakeholder environments and governance procedures.
- Advantageous to have previous experience of working as a Non-Executive for a non-for-profit or public sector organisation.
