Unqualified Learning Support Assistant

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Learning Support Assistant to join their team of educators in SEN schools across Salisbury. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with young people and are looking to start their career in education.

The successful candidate will work on a 1:1 or small group basis with children from KS1 to KS3, providing support to improve their engagement with learning. This may involve working with children who have Special Educational Needs/Disabilities (SEND) or Social Emotional Mental Health needs (SEMH).

While experience in an education setting is beneficial, it is not essential. We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds, including Youth Work, Care/Hospital experience, Art/Creative backgrounds, and Psychology/Sociology Graduates. If you are keen to kickstart your career in education, we encourage you to apply.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to deal with situations calmly and sensitively, and have a collaborative approach to working with other staff and families. They will also be able to use their initiative to meet the needs of individual students, depending on their communication and learning skills.
