About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our community nursing team in Deal. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in their own homes and in residential care settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred care to patients, working as part of a close-knit team to deliver holistic care that meets their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Monitor the quality of care provided and provide feedback to managers to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of patients.
  • Provide support and guidance to patients and their families, promoting independence and empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care policies and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with the Trust's values and standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant level 3 qualification (NVQ/QCF Diploma or certificate of care/Advanced apprenticeship or equivalent) and Functional Skills at Level 2 (Literacy and numeracy/GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in English and Maths).
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Healthcare Assistant/Worker in a health or social care setting.
  • Experience of working as part of a team and using Microsoft Office and a variety of IT packages (E-Pay/E-roster/AT-P/CIS).
  • Awareness of developments in the NHS and knowledge of up-to-date clinical practice.
