Senior Systems Developer

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Developer with solid GIS experience to join our dynamic team, working across the UK public sector.

About the Role

As part of our Geosolutions team, you'll develop, implement, and maintain GIS applications using both ArcGIS and open-source technologies. You'll collaborate with project managers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to design high-quality solutions that push the boundaries of what's possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain GIS applications using ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS API for JavaScript/Python.
  • Develop web-based mapping applications and interactive visual tools.
  • Perform spatial analysis using ArcGIS tools, Python, and SQL.
  • Optimise workflows for maximum efficiency and provide technical support for GIS systems.
  • Mentor junior developers, sharing your knowledge and passion for GIS.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in GIS development, particularly ArcGIS and open-source GIS tech.
  • Proficiency in web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and GIS programming languages (ArcPy, Arcade, Python, SQL).
  • Experience with spatial databases like Oracle Spatial, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, and SQL Server.
  • Strong understanding of spatial analysis, cartography, and database management.
  • Bonus points for experience with AI/ML in GIS applications.
