Overview:

As a vital contributor to our infrastructure, you will play a key role in maintaining the efficiency of our rail network.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

  • Executing tasks safely and in line with established safety protocols and operational guidelines.
  • Complying with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Overseeing the quality of work performed and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Preparing work specifications, resource plans, and method statements.
  • Providing expert technical assistance and direction.
  • Designing, installing, testing, and commissioning various equipment.
  • Conducting and supervising technical assignments, surveys, and design projects.
  • Performing technical inspections, tests, and data analysis.
  • Prioritizing tasks and coordinating work plans for the team.
  • Drafting specifications and requisitioning materials.
  • Managing calibration and certification processes for tools and equipment.
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating systems and databases.
  • Contributing to personal and team development.

Essential Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A solid understanding of technical support methodologies.
  • Experience in electrification, plant maintenance, and construction management.
  • Knowledge of design standards and processes.
  • The ability to foster a culture of safety within the team.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Relevant competencies required for this position.
  • Preferably, an NVQ level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering or leadership discipline.
  • A willingness to operate vehicles as necessary.
