What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a skilled and driven Senior Fire Safety Consultant to join our Fire Engineering Team. This position offers flexible working arrangements, allowing for a mix of office and remote work. We also provide the flexibility to adjust working hours to suit individual needs.
As a Senior Fire Safety Consultant, you will engage in projects across various sectors, offering strategic fire safety recommendations for developments in commercial, residential, infrastructure, and transportation. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects alongside a team of highly qualified engineers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Formulating Fire Safety Strategies during both Design and Construction phases.
- Conducting technical engineering analyses in accordance with relevant guidelines and methodologies, including prescriptive and performance-based approaches.
- Assisting the team in enhancing technical expertise.
- Performing site inspections as necessary.
- Participating in both internal and external meetings.
- Managing projects from inception through to completion.
- Maintaining regular communication with clients.
To Succeed in This Role, You Will Need:
- A degree in Fire Engineering or a related field, along with membership in the Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE) or a comparable organization.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar capacity.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Part B of the Building Regulations, the Fire Safety Order, and other pertinent legislation and fire design guidelines such as BS9999, BS7479, BS9991, BB100, and HTM05.
- A solid background in fire safety engineering with a grasp of fire engineered solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to devise quick, innovative, and practical solutions.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to tailor your approach to various audiences.
- Outstanding consultancy and relationship management abilities.
