We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solar Site Manager to join our team at WPO, a leading European platform of renewable energy expert-services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a large solar farm near Faversham in Kent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the solar farm, including tracking scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
- Ensure HSE compliance and best practices throughout the site.
- Conduct regular site inspection audits to assess the service levels of O&M contractors and produce inspection reports.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including owners, contractors, landlords, and grid operators.
- Manage site activities, including the induction of staff and 3rd parties on site.
- Ensure the solar farm remains compliant with all required planning conditions.
- Recommend and manage specialist services on site as needed.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of direct experience working in UK solar farm operations or construction.
- Strong understanding of solar PV technology.
- Previous experience with battery storage facilities is desired but not mandatory.
- Ability to review and understand legal contracts.
- Experience with solar SCADA data and reporting.
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
