We are seeking a skilled IT Field Engineer to join our team in Dumfries. As a Break Fix IT Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and repair services for EPOS equipment and other IT systems in retail stores.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and deliver parts for assigned jobs
  • Complete a variety of tasks, including surveys, new kit installs, and troubleshooting
  • Return old parts and collect new equipment for the next day
Requirements:
  • Experience in EPOS/IT/Break Fix world or similar field
  • Ability to perform computer repair tasks efficiently
  • Familiarity with interpreting schematics and technical manuals
  • Proficient in using hand tools for repairs
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Knowledge of computer networking principles
  • Experience in equipment repair and maintenance
Benefits:
  • Competitive day rate of £110.00-£120.00 per shift
  • Additional allowance of £20 per day for own car use + fuel paid
  • Opportunity to have various courses paid for, such as asbestos/CSCS
Working Conditions:
  • Field-based work in retail stores, with lots of travel
  • Shifts are day work, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends for extra shifts and overtime
