Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our client, a leading SME Manufacturing business, as a key member of their finance team. As a Management Accountant, you will play a critical role in providing financial planning and analysis support to the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital management to ensure the company's financial stability
  • Perform nominal ledger analysis of expenditure to identify areas for cost reduction
  • Verify employee expenses and reconcile them to ensure accuracy
  • Reconcile H & S equipment and post transactions to the general ledger
  • Accrue and prepay expenses as necessary to maintain accurate financial records
  • Reconcile balance sheet control accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Manage fixed assets and depreciation to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns to HMRC
  • Produce month-end system reporting to provide insights into the company's financial performance
  • Prepare management accounts and financial reports to support business decision-making
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and forecasting

Requirements

  • Qualified or QBE accountant with a strong background in financial planning and analysis
  • Experience in a manufacturing industry, preferably in a similar role
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with the leadership team and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve business objectives
