Grounds Care Specialist

Salary: £26.37

Working Hours: 40 Hours per week

Norse Group collaborates with various local public and private sector clients to deliver a wide array of services, including Waste Management, Street Sanitation, and Grounds Care.

Position Overview

We are seeking to add a Grounds Care Specialist to our dedicated team. This role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

As part of a service-oriented team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of grassed areas, roadside verges, public parks, and recreational spaces. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating and caring for hand tools and light machinery
  • Safely storing, mixing, and applying fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and growth inhibitors
  • Planting and nurturing trees, shrubs, and hedges
  • Preparing sites for planting and sowing

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in grounds maintenance or a related field
  • Valid UK Driving Licence, as driving is a component of the role
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with the public
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Openness to training and development in processes and equipment
