Job Overview:

The role of Systems Engineer is pivotal within our organization, demanding a blend of technical expertise and creative problem-solving in the field of broadcast systems engineering. You will be tasked with the architecture, development, and maintenance of the sophisticated infrastructure that underpins our essential transmission systems. A comprehensive understanding of systems engineering methodologies, industry benchmarks, and a proactive approach to challenges are crucial for success in this position.

Working collaboratively with various teams, you will ensure the dependability, scalability, and security of our systems, facilitating uninterrupted content delivery to our clientele. Your foresight in identifying and addressing technical challenges will be vital in upholding superior broadcast quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Administration and Maintenance:
    - Oversee Linux and Windows environments, focusing on system setup and deployment
    - Implement automated solutions for system upkeep and updates across multiple platforms
  • Systems Design and Implementation:
    - Engineer complex distributed systems for broadcast transmission across various channels
    - Engage in system architecture, documentation, and compatibility evaluations for hardware/software setups
    - Produce comprehensive system documentation and standard operating procedures, providing specialized training as necessary
  • Technical Leadership:
    - Direct technical initiatives from conception to completion, adhering to timelines and financial plans
    - Collaborate with technology teams on design specifications and production needs
    - Guide and support teams on engineering projects and technical problem resolution
  • Troubleshooting and Optimization:
    - Assess system performance, diagnose hardware and software challenges, and develop technical solutions
    - Formulate strategies for performance and security that align with broadcast engineering requirements
    - Optimize systems for peak performance and data integrity through effective backup and archiving practices
