About the Role

The Economist is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Designer to join our Marketing Brand Design team. As a Senior Designer, you will play a key role in creating visually compelling marketing assets that align with our brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and design a range of marketing materials, including digital and print ads, social media posts, event promotions, and websites.
  • Collaborate with copywriters to conceptualize and develop creative briefs for campaigns.
  • Present design rationale to stakeholders and ensure that marketing collateral meets business goals.
  • Lead projects and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work closely with the Creative Director, Art Director, and Head of Events Design to uphold the highest standards of design.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in graphic design, marketing, or advertising.
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and After Effects.
  • Working knowledge of Figma, Google Slides, and Google Workspace.
  • Strong understanding of current trends in design, tech, and AI generative design.
  • Good eye for typography, photography, and layout.
  • Keen attention to detail and familiarity with design systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills.
