Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the creation of mmWave RF systems, focusing on front-ends and transceivers to ensure they meet high-frequency communication standards.
  • Design and simulate mmWave RF circuits and systems using sophisticated tools such as ADS, HFSS, and CST to tackle challenges like path loss and beamforming.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary teams to incorporate mmWave RF modules into customer premises equipment (CPE), enhancing performance, power efficiency, and overall effectiveness in the mmWave spectrum.
  • Conduct thorough testing and characterization of mmWave RF components, employing specialized equipment to confirm performance and adherence to industry regulations.
  • Drive innovation in RF system design for mmWave applications, prioritizing high data rate transmission and effective signal processing.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of development processes and technical specifications, contributing to the knowledge base of mmWave RF engineering at Novocomms Limited.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A degree in RF/Microwave Electronics, Wireless Systems, or a related discipline (BEng/MSc required, PhD preferred), with a minimum of 5 years of experience in RF development, particularly in mmWave technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of mmWave RF design principles, including beam steering technologies, phased arrays, and the unique propagation characteristics associated with mmWave frequencies.
  • Proficiency in RF design and simulation software (ADS, HFSS, CST) with a strong emphasis on mmWave applications.
  • Practical experience with mmWave RF hardware, including the design, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits and systems.
  • Awareness of the latest advancements in mmWave technology, standards, and regulatory requirements for wireless communication devices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a collaborative approach in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
