We are seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our team at Greencore Group Ltd. in Selby. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient running of the Beetroot Plant and equipment, working closely with the Beetroot Preparation Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the efficient running of the Beetroot Plant and equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues (mechanical and procedural)
- Liaise with Team/Area Process Leaders, Line Coordinator, Engineers, and Shift Managers
- Assist Team Leader in ensuring all Quality control checks are completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Effective communication with colleagues
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practice Housekeeping standards and Safe Operating Procedures
- Maintain best possible efficiency on line machinery
- Adhere to Food quality, health and safety, safe operating procedures, site operating procedures, and policies
- Responsibility for all aspects of Health and Safety in the work area
- Transport Beetroot bulkers from the Compound to Beetroot receiving area using Shunter vehicle
- Experience working with machinery in a manufacturing environment is essential
- Comply with all relevant business and site policies such as Health and Safety and Food Safety standards
- Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and teamwork with the ability to work under pressure
- Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment producing quality and safe products
- Good attention to details
- Have strong and effective communication skills both verbal and written
- Be open to working in a production environment with varying temperatures
- Have a positive attitude and work ethic
