About the Role

Zodiac Maritime is a leading international ship operating company providing a comprehensive range of management services for a diverse fleet of commercial vessels. Our company is committed to delivering exceptional results and driving growth through strategic partnerships and innovative solutions.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartering Manager to join our team in London. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for the employment of our fleet of approximately 55 containers, working closely with the Head of Chartering (Dry Cargo) to achieve profitable and efficient employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Strategy
    • Develop and execute commercial strategies to optimize fleet employment and maximize revenue.
    • Conduct market analysis and identify opportunities to create commercial advantage.
    • Negotiate and conclude spot market fixtures, period time charters, and contracts of affreightment.
  • Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain relationships with key charterers and joint venture parties.
    • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure seamless coordination with all relevant departments.
  • Market Intelligence
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
    • Provide market insights and analysis to support commercial decision-making.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and present regular reports on fixture results, market trends, and analysis.
    • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize commercial performance.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in shipping chartering and operations.
    • Proven track record of success in container chartering and dry cargo operations.
  • Education
    • Degree in a relevant field such as maritime, business, or economics.
  • Skills
    • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
    • Proficiency in Alphaliner and other industry information platforms.
