About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team on the Isle of Wight. As an Inreach/Outreach Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering brief therapeutic interventions for children and young people who have experienced mental health crisis.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assess, devise, plan, and implement evidence-based treatment plans in support of organisational and individual professional guidance and policies.
  • Liaise with other agencies to plan and assess programmes of care, providing consultation and training where appropriate.
  • Conduct assessments, including emergency and urgent assessments, of children and families who have been referred to Crisis and Community CAMHS.
  • Promote a service that is safe, respects the views of the patient/client, and actively promotes choice, engagement, and involvement in partnership with families and other agencies.
  • Ensure child development and family dynamics are fundamental in the assessment when considering emotional health and wellbeing in an age-appropriate and family context.
