Company Overview:

Apple Technical Recruitment (UK) Limited is collaborating with a prominent Tier 1 Main Contractor that specializes in various sectors including Commercial, Residential, Science, Healthcare, and Mixed-Use developments. They are seeking a skilled and experienced Planning Operations Manager to oversee the planning department across their operations.


Project Scope:
The project portfolio encompasses numerous New Build and Refurbishment initiatives, each valued up to £20 million, with a significant focus on 2-stage project delivery.


Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be accountable for the planning operations within the organization, engaging actively during the pre-construction phase. This role involves close collaboration with operational teams to manage planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring of ongoing projects, as well as liaising with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.


Qualifications:
- Proven experience in project planning for construction projects valued at £10 million or more.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience with main contractors in dedicated planning roles.

Desirable Skills:
- A strong track record across a variety of projects, with preferred experience in the Science, Healthcare, or Commercial sectors.
- Previous job titles may include Planning Operations Manager, Senior Planner, Project Planner, Senior Planning Manager, Planner, or Site Planner.
